Q. Where will I take my tests
A. We use Aberporth airfield for module one tests and Aberystwyth for your module two test.

Q. What are the problems people are having with the new test (module one)?
A. So far the main problems I am encountering with the new test is that:

• Students must remember that the test is carried out behind a big fence with only you and the examiner, you must remember to carry out your observations before you move the bike every time.
• The Hazard or as it is commonly known the swerve test has not been a problem following correct training.
• Students have had difficulty in making the speed through the speed trap. This test requires good confidence in your riding.
• One rider on a 125cc motorcycle managed to obtain a speed through the measuring device of 61k , 10k over the required speed so it is more than possible.
• Accuracy when riding on the maneuvering area you must not be complacent with your bike positioning.

Q. How many lessons will I need?
A. Depending on your ability to master the skills of riding, CBT in most cases is completed in one days training. Further training will depend upon your knowledge of the road and ability.

Q. When will I be able to take my test?
A. You can take your test when you demonstrate your ability to ride without instruction including the manoeuvres.

Q. What roads will I learn to drive on?
A. You will ride on all aspects of the road network in and around Aberystwyth excluding the motorway. We may also be riding to the new test centre for practical test training.

Q. What age do I have to be to ride a motorcycle?
A. The minimum age for obtaining a provisional moped licence is 16. Moped 50cc automatic or geared bike

• If you are 17 or over then you can ride a 125cc motorcycle
• If you are 21 or over you can learn on a 500cc motorcycle

Q. How long does my CBT certificate last?
A. Your CBT certificate is valid for two years after that if you wish to carry on riding and you have not passed your practical test you must come and take another CBT test.
